what’s with the lion? well, as i mention in my about section, i have a lion tattoo on my right wrist. i got it during a particular difficult time in 2020 to remind me to be brave. i have a fondness for lions which stems from visiting the K3 public library when i was a kid. there were (+ still are) 2 lions standing guard at the entrance. my mom took us to the library a lot growing up. we’d pick out books, then over to jaenicke’s for a chili dog and root beer. great memories! in college, i worked at the bennigans on the corner of michigan ave + adams across from the art institute of chicago + the lions greeted me almost everyday. and now, i love spending time wandering the wings of the aic. so you could say that lions are a happy icon. as for the mohawk… well I was just having a little fun in dall-e 馃檪
