For Duff & Phelps, an established brand was in place, however the company was in a furtive acquisition mode. With the logo + visual identity outdated (+ limited use requirements due to not being owned by the company), opportunity arose to redefine the brand with a fresh brand identity, mission, positioning + brand identity to communicate a fresh start.

Founded in Libertyville, Il, Vardin Group was named after one of the founders of Libertyville, George Vardin, arrived to the area. In time, the small settlement became know as Vardin's Grove. Local lore is that George Vardin planted hundreds of oak trees (many that remain today).
